Video recording is now available on the iPhone 3G and 2G with the iVideoCamera app. Previously this was only possible on the 3GS, or a jailbroken 3G or 2G.
The app has the ability to save your videos to your camera roll or upload them to Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo or Twitter. There are some major limitations though. You can only shoot a video up to 1 minute in length. And the capture rate is only 3 frames per second at 160×213 resolution. The developers claim that they are working on improving the quality and frame rate along with lots of new features.
The iVideoCamera app is available in the App Store for $0.99.
