Review: Doodle Army for iPhone and iPod Touch

If you enjoy gruesome side-scrolling stickman action games, Doodle Army is for you! Doodle Army combines comedy, action and the great feel of those classic 2D side-scrolling games.
Use 25 different weapons to fight your way through the enemies. You will be using pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, grenade launchers, flame throwers and more while fighting in four different locations. You start out in Boot Camp and then continue to Rice Paddy, Beach Bunker and Sand Dune.
You can unlock new characters throughout the game, including American, German and Russian soldiers. You can also unlock James Bond, Rambo, an alien and more.
The controls a very easy to learn and feel natural. You get a quick walkthrough of the controls and weapons at the start of the game. I’ve always been a big proponent of the D-pad, but Doodle Army does a great job of giving you great touch-screen controls.
Doodle Army has brought me many hours of fun, and I’m sure it will bring me more fun in the days and months to follow. I’ve showed this game to a lot of my friends and they’ve all enjoyed it. And for $0.99, you really can’t go wrong.
Check it out in the App Store.
