Steve Jobs said that multitasking won’t be supported on pre-3GS iPhones because of “hardware limitations.” As we reported on Monday, there is a way to enable it on a these iPhones with a simple config change. Today, a video was posted on YouTube which shows a jailbroken iPhone 3G with a modified .plist running multitasking without any problems.
So if you’re wanting to have multitasking and don’t have the money to upgrade your iPhone, it looks like jailbreaking is your solution. Of course, me and many others have had this feature on our jailbroken phones for a long time now.
