The Mac Daddy: The iPad has Revolutionized Portable Computing

After spending much time with the iPad, I’ve realized that it’s becoming a part of me. I already don’t know how I lived without it. I am convinced now that devices like this are the future of portable computing.
The speed and simplicity are two things that make the iPad stand out against any other portable computer. I’m amazed at how easy it is to type on the iPad. Everyone I’ve shown it to has had no problems typing quickly too. Just like with the iPhone, I’m sure we’ll start seeing others try and copy Apple’s innovative device. But just like the iPhone wannabes, they will fail.
The iPad has only been out about two weeks and we already have tons of great apps available. Besides being able to watch TV shows and movies purchased from iTunes, Netflix and ABC have great apps and are both free. Of course with Netflix, you will need to have an account with them first. And with the popularity of the ABC Player app, I’m sure other networks will follow along very soon. With apps ranging from entertainment, gaming, books, productivity and much more, the iPad is quickly becoming the perfect device for all your computing needs.
Apple already gave us an amazing web experience with Safari for iPhone, and now they’ve taken it a step further with a bigger screen on the iPad. Navigating websites has never been easier and more fun. The iPad truly gives you the Internet in the palm of your hand.
And for those of you who claim the iPad is too expensive, can you really put a price on happiness? Yeah, you can buy a netbook for $300-$400, but you will be frustrated with the slowness and tiny keyboard.
Apple is about looking toward the future, and that’s what they’ve done with the iPad. I love my iPad, and I get chills every time I hold the future in my hands.
