Review: TinkerTool, The Ultimate App to Tweak Hidden OS X Features

Posted on May 4, 2010 by

TinkerTool, an application to tweak Mac OS X preferences, has been updated to version 4.1.

I’ve been using TinkerTool for many years now.  It gives you access to hidden preference settings Apple has built into Mac OS X.  Out of all the other software out there like it, I have found that TinkerTool is the best.  And the greatest thing about this application is that it’s free!

This is actually the first application I install whenever I get a new Mac.  I like my Dock vertically on the right side of the screen, but instead of the default center placement, I like having it pinned to the bottom.  This is just one of the many hidden preferences that TinkerTool gives you access to change.

You can download TinkerTool here.
