Mac OS X Lion Drops Support for PowerPC Apps

The developer preview of Mac OS X Lion does not run PowerPC apps. When you attempt to run a PowerPC app, you get an alert like the one shown above. Ever since Apple switched to Intel processors, PowerPC apps were able to run using a lightweight dynamic translator called Rosetta. Rosetta was an optional download in Snow Leopard, but it looks like it may not be available for Lion.
