Play Flash Videos and Games on iPad with iSWiFTER

iSWiFTER is an awesome iPad browser that lets you play Flash videos. It works similar to Skyfire, where the Flash video is converted on a remote server and sent back in an iPad-friendly format. But the big difference between iSWiFTER and Skyfire is that iSWiFTER will play the videos instantly and Skyfire has to wait about 20 seconds for the video to buffer. Another difference is that iSWiFTER also supports Flash games, while Skyfire only supports videos. And I’m not sure how long this will last, but you can currently watch videos on Hulu using iSWiFTER. But I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until Hulu will block this. Hulu is known for blocking just about every device from watching their videos because they want you to subscribe to Hulu Plus instead.

The video quality of iSWiFTER isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good. Hopefully the frame rate will increase in a future update. iSWiFTER is free to download in the App Store. After 30 seconds of running the app, you will be prompted to buy it for $2.99. 100% of the profits from iSWiFTER are going to help the people of Japan recover from the recent earthquake and tsunami.
