Apple Purchases iCloud.com for $4.5 Million

According to a new report, Apple has purchased the domain name iCloud.com for $4.5 million. With rumors of Apple launching a new cloud-based service soon, many believe this new domain could be related to that.

The iCloud domain was previously owned by an online storage company Xcerion. Currently, iCloud.com redirects to CloudMe, which is the new name for Xcerion’s service.
