Satellite images of Apple’s North Carolina data center are now viewable on Google Maps. Until today, it still showed images of the farmlands that were there before they started construction. Yesterday, Apple confirmed in a press release that there will be an upcoming cloud service called iCloud, which will be unveiled at WWDC 2011 next Monday, June 6. It has been rumored for a long time that the North Carolina data center will be used for a cloud based service by Apple, but we’ll have to wait until Monday for all the details.
