Launchpad-Control Lets You Easily Hide Apps from Launchpad in Lion

Posted on July 28, 2011 by

Launchpad is a cool new feature in Mac OS X Lion that gives you an iOS-like interface to browse all your apps. But if you’re like me and have tons of apps on your Mac, Launchpad becomes very cluttered and kinda hard to use effectively. Launchpad-Control helps clean up your Launchpad by allowing you to hide/unhide apps. It’s a free tool and very easy to use.

  • It’s a system preference pane
  • Displays a table with all apps that are in Launchpad
  • Checkboxes for every app allow you to easily specify apps you want to hide or show
  • Backups/Restores your original database file
  • It’s completely free!
