Apple has launched a MobileMe to iCloud transition service for developers, and has also revealed what they plan on doing with existing MobileMe accounts moving over to iCloud. When developers visit MobileMe.com/move, they are able to move Mail, Contacts and calendar information over to iCloud. Users can continue using iWeb, iDisk and Photo Gallery until June 30, 2012. Apple also informs users that Dashboard widget sync, dock item sync, keychains, signatures, mail account rules, mail smart boxes and mail preferences will no longer be available.
MobileMe users transitioning over to iCloud will automatically be signed up for the 20GB (+5GB free) plan in iCloud at no charge. These users are automatically signed up for recurring billing with the next payment date set at June 30, 2012.
