Hidden Panorama Camera Feature Found in iOS 5

A panorama camera feature has been found in the code of iOS 5. It was discovered by Conrad Kramer (@conradev) and can be enabled using a jailbreak tweak called Firebreak.

The tweak makes the following change:

Set the key’EnableFirebreak’ to YES in com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist

It requires a Gyroscope capable device like the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad 2. The results of panorama images taken using this tweak aren’t perfect, so I’m not surprised Apple hasn’t officially released it yet. For better results, I would recommend using an app called Pano, available in the App Store for $1.99.
