iOS is still the leader when it comes to mobile web traffic, according to estimates by NetMarketShare. In December 2011, iOS was at 52.1% of mobile web traffic, while Java ME was second at 21.27% and Android third at 16.29%. Android sales are much higher than iOS, but according to these numbers, more people are actually using their iOS device. This could be due to the fact that Android device are prone to crashing and have a hard time lasting more than a few hours on battery. Also, iPad dominates the tablet market and more people are starting to use it to browse the web.
