RUMOR: iPhone 5 Set for Fall Release, 4G LTE, NFC and 1GB RAM

Apple’s 6th-generation iPhone currently being tested has 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE and NFC hardware, according to BGR sources. They expect it to be released at the end of September or early October.

We have confirmation that the units Apple is currently testing have 1GB of RAM, doubled from the iPhone 4S’s 512MB, and integrated 4G LTE radios. We can also confirm that NFC hardware is present in the phones as well. We’re expecting Apple’s new iPhone to be released at the end of September or early October.

Keep in mind that BGR has a record of being wrong on iPhone rumors, but I’d say that the 4G LTE and 1GB of RAM are pretty much guaranteed to be true. Also, the September/October release date is also a good guess, considering that’s a year after the iPhone 4S was launched.
