Twitter Launches Vine App for iPhone and iPod touch

Twitter released its first-party version of Vine, an iPhone app that the company acquired the rights to in 2012. The app lets users shoot small, looping videos that can be shared with others on a native social network. The videos can also be shared on Twitter and Facebook.

Vine Twitter posts link to vine.co, and the video clips contain audio, but the sound is off by default. The Vine app and service are free and supports unlimited uploads.
