Get Colored Icons from iTunes 9.2 Back Into 10

One of the first things I noticed about iTunes 10 was the colorless icons. I guess it’s not a big deal, but I’m happy to know that there’s a hack to get the old icons back.

Download this zip file and follow the instructions below:

Right click and “Show Package Contents” on iTunes to show ‘Contents’ folder. Back up and replace your /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/iTunes.rsrc with the included file.

How to Install Flash on iPhone 4

Step 1: First up, you will need to jailbreak your iOS device. Follow the guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone 4 with JailbreakMe, here to jailbreak your iPod touch 3G and 2G, and here to jailbreak your iPad.

Unlimited Apps in iOS 4 Folders with Infinifolders

If anyone else is annoyed by the 12 app limitation of Apple’s iOS 4 Folders, there’s a tweak available to jailbroken iPhones called Infinifolders available in Cydia for $1.99.  With Infinifolders, you are able to put as many apps as you want into a folder, choose the color of the scroll bar and paginate the folder.  I find this teak very useful and highly recommend it.

Ultrasn0w Unlocking Tool Updated to Work With iPhone 4

FaceTime Over 3G Uses 3MB Per Minute

Now that there is a jailbreak available for the iPhone 4, users are experimenting with FaceTime over 3G using My3G to trick the iPhone into thinking it’s on WiFi.  9to5Mac has done a test and found out that a FaceTime call only uses about 3MB per minute.

From 9to5Mac:

Many people are curious to know how much data FaceTime over 3G actually uses. We put two iPhone 4s to the test, one running FaceTime over 3G, and took before and after screenshots of the data. As you will see, if you do the math, a 5 minute FaceTime call with lots of movement used 14.7 MB of data. — That’s about 3 MB per minute. Read more
