Play StarCraft II on Your iOS Device

StarCraft II Gameboard sounds like an interesting iOS app.  It lets you remotely control your StarCraft II game from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The biggest problem with this app is that it’s only compatible with StarCraft II running on a Windows machine.

Starcraft 2 Gameboard should be available in the App Store in mid-September for $2.

The Starcraft 2 Gameboard is set for release in September 2010. With the Starcraft 2 Gameboard, you will be able to remotely control your Starcraft 2 game from your iPhone, Ipad, or Ipod touch.  It will include many great features such as mini-map control, detailed unit statistics, and easy touch access to the games most important hotkeys and macros.

Charge Your iPhone with Sunlight

Frostfire created an iPhone case that has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery at the base with a small solar panel embedded on it to extend the battery life of your iPhone 4 while on the go. The Mooncharge battery case, when fully charged, will provide 315 hours on standby or 5 extra hours of talk time. Frostfire doesn’t indicate how long it will take for the battery to fully charge using the solar panel, but they do say that placing the case in the sun for 20 minutes gives about 50 minutes on standby or 5 minutes of talk time.

The Mooncharge Hybrid Solar Battery Case is available on their website for $69.99.

New Mystery ‘Courier’ App Teased by Realmac Software (Video)

Your guess is as good as mine on what this new Mac application, Courier, actually does. The developer, Realmac Software, says it will come out “in about a week.” Federico Viticci at MacStories.net is the only reviewer and says that he can’t really say what the app does, but that “Courier is great, and will probably turn out to be one of the best apps released on Mac this year.”

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but the teaser video is pretty cool.

iPliz Lets You Access Files On Your Mac from Anywhere by Email

iPliz is an interesting program for Mac OS X that lets you remotely access your files, but I’d much rather use cloud storage options like Dropbox and MobileMe’s iDisk.

From iPliz:

Apple iTV Remote Concept

With rumors going around about Apple radically changing the Apple TV and renaming it to its former codename, iTV, many have wondered what the remote will be like. If the rumors of it running iOS are true, the current remote won’t do the job. They could create an iPhone, iPod touch and iPad app, but what about those who don’t own any of these devices? Dan Wineman has come up with the idea of a controller that’s like an iPhone but without the screen. It has the same inertial and gyroscopic motion sensors as the iPhone 4, a multitouch surface like the Magic Trackpad, a home button and Bluetooth. It’s a cool concept, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple comes out with something else that’s revolutionary.
