The recently released iOS 4.3.1 has been jailbroken using a combination of PwnageTool 4.2, Universal Ramdisk Fixer and tetheredboot utility. The jailbreak is tethered only for now, which means you will have to connect your iOS device to a computer each time it’s restarted. Unless you desperately need to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 right now, I would wait until an untethered jailbreak becomes available.
This isn’t the simplest jailbreak, but Redmond Pie has a step-by-step guide that will help walk you through the process.
You will need the following:
- a Mac
- PwnageTool 4.2
- iTunes 10.2.1
- the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware
- PwnageTool bundle for iOS 4.3.1
- tetheredboot utility
- Universal Ramdisk Fixer
