If anyone needed more proof that the iPhone was doing well, Verizon announced its earnings for the fourth quarter of 2011 today, revealing that the company had activated 4.3 million iPhones during the quarter. With the company reporting a total of 7.7 million smartphones, the iPhone represented approximately 55% of the sales for the quarter.
